gwyneth….

my internal debate started at target….do i buy the book? do i need another cookbook? think the recipes are good? my husband had doubts. me…just. love. her. but i skipped over it…i moved on.

and then my new bon appetit came, one of my favs. guess who was on the cover? gwyneth!

love her (is this too much love). you love her too right? how can you not.

anyway, love fest over….bon appetit gave us a quick glance into her cookbook and i was rather impressed. so i went back and bought it.

one of the first recipes i spotted was for a peach bbq sauce. it caught my eye. it’s bbq season, how can you go wrong with bbq sauce?

so i checked out the ingredients. i had almost everything i needed plus some more and  went to work.

are you drooling yet?

get a napkin (insert smile here) and get in that kitchen. this is a must not miss bbq sauce!

peach bbq sauce     adapted from my fathers daughter by gwyneth paltrow

  1. in a small saucepan combine all of the ingredients. bring to a light boil over high heat, reduce heat to low and simmer until peaches are very soft about 10 minutes.
  2. remove pan from heat and let cool. pour mixture into a blender and puree until smooth.

this is a great marinade for chicken, we used it with breasts, but wings or legs would be perfect too. i recommend only using half of the marinade for marinating and save the other half for basting.

hope you all had a great weekend! happy bbq season!
