i am running a little late today…story of my life.

since this blog is also personal, not just about cooking, i have been going back and forth all day deciding if i should share certain things with you. i am not talking family issues, i am talking blog related issues. then i realized, this blog is about me, not just about my cooking. although i am sure you don’t come back for my rants, it’s basically what the blog is about. how my life relates to cooking.

the other day i became aware that there was someone else using my brand name. my stomach has been in knots since i have seen it. this week my stories have been short and sweet because i could not concentrate on anything other then this. i have barely been cooking. all my time has been spent looking into what to do to take back what is rightfully mine. before i started this blog i took all precautions. i trademarked my brand name, not just because of the blog, but because i also am starting up a food service business and both would be intertwined. it is something my husband and i both put a lot of effort into. i am not telling you all of this because i want you to go on the attack (just yet:-), we are taking care of things in a very professional way. i have contacted a lawyer and i have started proceedings. i am hoping that things are resolved before this goes any further…as of now, my stomach is not so much in knots and i am able to finally focus on what’s really important, i even plan to cook tonight.

now that i just poured my heart out to you…see that cutie above, let’s get down to business :-)

on the garden front, we had to pull our carrots. i know, it’s very early. my zucchini plant has taken over. it’s leaves are bigger then my head and i can’t control it. e and i sat in the garden the other day and planned for next year. what goes where, what needs to be strung up, what we need to plant elsewhere, next year, i can’t wait. in the meantime, check this out, i have a white eggplant growing and see those little buds, those are melons :-)

now on to the food!

i loved all the recipes i posted this week. the pasta with sardines was a total learning experience. i can’t wait to recreate it, i have all sorts of great ideas. lamb with ground shrimp? who would ever thought, it really is the ultimate surf and turf, cover and dip it in the harissa, life can’t get any better. what do you cook on a lazy day when you not only crave carbs and veg, warm sesame noodles of course :-)

i am planning my menu out for next week. i am really excited i got my mojo back :-) thanks to all of you who gave me so much needed support this week!

oh yeah, before i forget…the GOOD news! i am getting my .com together, sometime next week you will be able to find me at thefoodyenta.com!!!

happy eating!!! and have a great weekend!!
