although i adore being in the kitchen and cooking, sometimes i run out of steam. i start to loose my creativity. i doubt myself, and then i just give up and stop cooking.

it happens and i’m not ashamed to admit it. no one is perfect. sometimes getting a meal on the table is more then i can handle (i have a 5 and 3 year old). i grab the first take out menu that i have or run to the spare freezer and grab a container of leftovers or (gasp) frozen pre-made food. it happens, i’m a mom.

and then i saw this groupon. i was able to convince 8 of my friends to take a cooking class with me. no one was concerned about our knife skills, or what we were cooking, it was a night we can let loose, pick up some great ideas and enjoy ourselves. it was very inspiring, not only the cooking part, but being around such amazing women (and eric)…it was a great night, something i hope i can do again soon.

here is a look into my night….

chef eric korn of good life gormet

knife skills

whisking batter for the potato pancakes

frying plantains

goat cheese & mushrooms, my favorite combonation

latkes, chorizo & shrimp. my jewish backround tells me this is wrong…but it tasted so good.

great class. eric is organized and fun, he is just great. the whole night was inspiring. so inspiring in fact i have cooked with chorizo twice since last week (recipes to come)!

if you are interested in taking a cooking class and you are local (westchester) take a look into good-life gourmet. there are new classes all the time.

you can find goof-life gourmet on fb here and on twitter here.
