butter…not just any butter, whipped honey butter. butter whipped with honey…yes people, honey butter.

i was out to dinner a week back and my friend warned me, the butter is awesome. she was right. i tried to take some home, that pretty much explains it. i literally was looking for the ramekin to stash in my purse (you know, grandma and sugar packet style). it was that good

in case most of you don’t know, rosh hashanah is next week. every meal growing up was served with honey. lots of honey in everything. honey with apples, honey cake…the list goes on. although i love my families traditions e and i are trying to make some of our own. this year we are making rosh hashanah dinner. i still don’t know what i am serving but this will be making an appearance on our table with hot out of the oven rolls (i have to find an easy recipe for that one…have any ideas?).

if you are asking yourself right now…why would you whip butter? you need to try it. i gave some to my neighbor (because i like to test out my recipes on real people) and her daughter told her during her breakfast of toast and honey butter “mom, this is a slice of heaven”. yes, that is what she said and she is not wrong. after whipping it, i ate 4 pieces of toast smothered in this yummy buttery honey spread. it’s sweet, it’s thick, it’s all sorts of yummy goodness.

if you don’t make any of my recipes, at least make this one:-)

honey whipped butter
  1. using a hand blender or a stand mixer with a wire attachment, whip room temperature butter with honey on a high speed for about 5-7 minutes. the air increases the amount of butter by double, be prepared.

in every bite, you get honey (and butter). spread this on anything you would spread butter on, corn would be awesome.

stay tuned, more rosh hashanah recipes coming. i finally after years made my own matzah balls! A M A Z I N G! i’m trying really hard to keep tradition but modernize it. nothing wrong with that right?
