it’s 5 o’clock somewhere. that’s what they tell me (wink wink).
after a long day…or a long weekend…a drink.
sometimes it’s just nice to sit down with one, put your feet up and relax.
cleaning up can wait. the laundry can wait. dinner can wait.
it’s for that special occasion, it’s for that special someone.
all you need is grapes. concord grapes. it’s a simple syrup. simple as in easy. simple as in…ok, maybe a touch messy. simple as in delish, simple as in go make some now and pretend it’s 5 o’clock.
concord grape simple syrup
what you need: 1 quart concord grapes, 1/2 cup sugar, 1/2 cup white wine or water.
toss everything into a pot. turn on the heat. mix. bring to a slow boil and continue cooking. stir. keep on cooking till you get there. about 10 minutes. syrup will thicken and grapes will loose shape.
strain. push through strainer with the back of a soon or a spatula. store in an air tight container for up to 2 weeks in the fridge.
it’s 5 o’clock somewhere!
1 shot of tripe sec. 1 shot of vodka. 1 shot of concord grape simple syrup. top with seltzer and a lime. sit back relax and enjoy.
happy monday.
ps. i don’t advocate drinking on a monday morning…unless you really need one.
