finding a great dressing or a even a great condiment is always important (to me at least). whether it be for vegetables, meat, or fish, to me, it is always worth trying out and looking in to. this is not only good for meat, but awesome for vegetables and fish.
my neighbor introduced me to red harissa the other day. ever make chimichurri or pesto? think that but red. we ate it over lamb, vegetables the other day, and tonight…over fish.
it’s spicy, it’s fresh, it’s great and it could be made directly out of your pantry and garden.
red harissa
- add all to a food processor and pulse. you can sever it chunky, smooth, grainy, it’s up to you. when i make sauces like this, i prefer to see what i am eating. i loved seeing bits of cilantro, pieces of pepper and garlic.
like most dressings or sauces, the more time you let it sit, the better it tastes.
serve it along with meat, fish or even vegetables.
enjoy and wish me luck! i need my computer back and working!
I’ve only had jarred harissa before. But this sounds really tasty. Like the kind of thing that could go on just about anything. Including the pizza I ate for dinner!
it’s great on everything. i put it on potatoes, rice, lamb, steak, chicken…good stuff
