• 1 cup of chocolate chips
  • 1-2 tbl of red wine, i used merlot
  • 1 tbl of heavy cream
  • about 12 strawberries

a couple years ago i met the love of my life.

if you believe in all that spiritual stuff then you will believe me when i tell you that we were destined to be together.

we are very much alike but also very different. we finish each others thoughts and sentences. we both think of things at the same time and both blurt it out at the same time (the words “i was just thinking that” are very common in this house). we always give each other a good chuckle. we are partners in crime. we are best friends. we are soul mates.

every day i feel lucky. every day i feel grateful. every day you make me smile.

now should i tell everyone i woke up this morning and forgot it was valentines day?

wish you all a great one. whether you are spending it with a loved one or with your friends. or in my case, a kid with a case of raging strep.

chocolate merlot covered strawberries

to prepare: line a baking sheet with parchment paper

  1. fill a pot about half way with water. bring to a light boil.
  2. rest a pot or bowl on top of the pot of lightly boiling water and add your chocolate chips, wine and cream.
  3. slowly melt the mixture.
  4. take off of heat and dip your strawberries in.
